THE ABSOLUTE WORST DESSERTS YOU CAN POSSIBLY EAT OUT

As you already know, I’m a person that does have a sweet tooth, so I am not against eating dessert. However, desserts come in all sorts of nutritional combos and you need to learn how to make better choices.

This time I want to tell you which are the most caloric desserts that you should stay away from. They are simply lacking any nutritional they are really really bad for your blood sugar levels, for your weight and fitness goal, and if you care a little bit about your health make sure you avoid them at all costs.

1. Dunkin Donuts

Their donuts can vary from 230 (for an Apple’n Spice) to 470 calories (Peanut Donut) per piece. Basically, a donut would combine all together all the worst things you can put in your body: refined sugar, flavor enhancers, simple carbs, and last but not least, they are fried.

2. Cinnabon

The first and also last time I ate this was in an airport. Back then I thought that calorie-wise would be like the French Escargot (which is around 300 calories) but then when I checked the numbers I was in shock. The Classic Cinnabon Roll has no less than 880 calories and if you go for one with fancy toppings it can get as high as 1090 calories for a Caramel Pecanbon MiniBon Roll. If you look at the macros, it gets even worse, this one contains 51 grams of fat (that’s almost how much I would get in a day) and 77 grams of sugar.

FYI: According to an article published by Harvard, The American Heart Association suggests an added-sugar limit of no more than 24 grams of sugar for women and no more than 36 grams of sugar for men.

3. Starbucks Cakes

Carrot cake sounds healthy. You’d think it’s much better than a brownie. Actually, it’s worse. Their carrot cake has 820 calories (and 86 grams of carbs), it’s an absolute caloric bombe with no nutritional value. The double-chocolate brownie is actually lower in calories (well not so low) having 480 calories per piece.

4. Cheesecake Factory Cheesecakes

A cheesecake from them has an average of 1300 calories (they vary from 800 the Original one to 1600 Ultimate Red Velvet Cake). Just so that you can understand, an average woman of my height, that exercises 2 x per week should eat an average of 16000 calories/day. Their most caloric cheesecake has 1600 calories. That’s just insane! As for macros, one of their cheesecakes contains 116 g of fat.

5. Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Based Desserts

I’ve saved the number one worst option for the end. Among the ice cream-based desserts they offer, they have the Baskin-Robbins Oreo Layered Sundae that has 930 calories. But the worst possible option you can ever make is getting a Large Baskin Robbins Chocolate Oreo Shake, which has been declared America’s worst food in the US Health Magazine, having a total of 2600 calories.
