BEST GEAR TO GET FOR HOME WORKOUTS

I did a lot of effective home workouts for both myself and my clients. You can actually have great results and have a good sweat at home if you train smart. You don’t have to spend a lot of money, you can actually have a good workout with minimum equipment. And the best part is that you can exercise in the comfort of your own house anytime you have a little bit of time off.

Here is the equipment I advise buying for a complete and effective home workout:

🟪Two resistance bands

since you will be progressing you will need at least two. You can do plenty of exercises for both the upper and lower body, from squats to biceps curls.

🟧Ankle weights

you can use those in so many ways for progression, including when you do cardio. You can also use them in combination with the resistance bands. Also, I was using these when doing arms exercises to make the exercises much more difficult.

🟥Two adjustable dumbbells

you can find dumbbells that have 2 or 3 (removable) plates. Thus, you can use those for multiple exercises while adjusting the weight accordingly. They can be used in many ways, from walking lunges to dumbbell rows.

🟩A pull-up bar (that can be fixed on the door)

This one is definitely a game-changer if you want to improve your strength in your upper body. Do not avoid this piece of equipment as a woman. You can start with assisted pull-ups by using a resistance band or you can do other exercises, such as leg raises. Your abs will thank you later.

🟨A big kettlebell

I know they are expensive, but you can use them in so many ways that the investment really worth it. You can create a full-body workout only by using one kettlebell. This will be a GREAT ADDITION TO YOUR WORKOUTS and with the proper selection of exercises, you will see some significant muscle growth.

🟪 Ab Wheel

According to Healthline, the ab wheel has been a VERY EFFECTIVE TOOL for those interested to increase strength and build a strong core. In a study from 2016, scientists tested muscle contraction on several types of exercises and the ab wheel rollout was listed among the highest performers in terms of results.

🟧A yoga matt

This will be a great HELPER FOR many of your exercises. You don’t want to hurt your back laying on the floor so it’s advisable to have a matt. You can use it in many instances, from glutes exercises when you sit on your knees to abs exercises.

🟥SKLZ Sliders

A very affordable option for putting your abs on fire and strengthening your core. This type of equipment will add intensity to your workouts. They are also great for improving balance and stability.

🟩A jumping rope

If you’re a fan of HIIT or you just want to raise your heart rate to improve your cardiovascular activity, a jump rope is all you need. This piece of inexpensive equipment will make you feel like you’re a kid again, it is really fun!

🟨 Foam roller

I am a big fan of using foam rolling simply because it can prevent muscle soreness and it assist with muscle recovery. I use mine on a regular basis and it’s a great addition to your home gym gear.
